Breast fat grafting or transfer uses fat harvested elsewhere in the body to enlarge the breast naturally, instead of implants.
Augmentation volume with fat is limited - around 150cc per breast, compared to more than 200cc for implants - but fat transfer does not carry the complications implants can bring, such as contracture, displacement, rupture and rejection.
Fat is extracted by syringe from the hips, tummy or thighs, washed in a closed sterile environment, then re-injected into the areas that need volume.
